With insane gas prices, Sputter, Sputter, Sput! will speak to parents while giving kids an auditory and visual thrill. A little driver fills his car with gas "Glug, Gurgle, Glug" and drives around town. But then his car stops with a "Sputter, Sputter, Sput". What happened? Well, his car must have run out of gas. The text is simple, the gurgling of gas being filled and the sputtering of the car dying is fun to read and the illustrations are bright and attractive. I LOVE this book. It was a great find to read to the boys.
